Bill S-211 Report
Our report under the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act.
Introduction
On January 1, 2024, the new Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act came into effect in Canada. The act was introduced to drive businesses to improve practices by requiring certain government and private-sector entities to report on the measures they take to prevent and reduce the risk that forced labour or child labour is used at any point in their supply chains.
Our Commitment
Mainland Motors Abbotsford is committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly. We do not tolerate forced labour or child labour in any part of our operations or supply chain, and we expect the same standard from the suppliers and partners we work with.
Our Structure, Activities and Supply Chains
Mainland Motors Abbotsford is a pre-owned vehicle dealership serving Abbotsford and the surrounding Fraser Valley. Our supply chain primarily consists of vehicle acquisition, reconditioning services, parts, and the everyday goods and services required to operate our dealership.
Policies and Due Diligence
We take steps to assess and address the risk of forced labour and child labour in our activities and supply chains. This includes working with established and reputable suppliers, and reviewing our practices on an ongoing basis to ensure they align with the requirements of the Act.
Assessing Effectiveness
We continue to review and improve our processes to reduce the risk of forced labour and child labour in our supply chains, and we will update this report as our practices evolve.
